The EG5403SC is built with Takamine’s NEX body shape with cutaway and features a Solid Spruce top, maple back and sides. The neck is crafted out of hard maple and supports a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The head is fitted with solid, sealed die-cast tuners.

The NEX body is a signature Takamine design that has the depth of a dreadnought generating ample volume but with the feel of a smaller-bodied guitar. It offers a balanced tonal response with deep bass, well rounded midrange and clear treble.

This NEX EG5403 SC features the high quality Takamine pickup and TK-40 preamp which provides an outstanding natural amplified tone. The Takamine TK-40 features EQ Bypass, Notch Filter, Mid Contour, Bass, Mid, Treble, Gain and built in chromatic tuner with digital display.
