The Takamine TAN16C is a dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar that reflects the Takamine touch in full measure. The TAN16C cutaway guitar’s solid spruce top is highly resonant thanks to scalloped bracing and is voiced for players who appreciate brilliance and ambiance as much as depth and richness.. The back is solid rosewood which gives this guitar tonal warmth. The Takamine TAN16C also features high ratio gold tuners for precise tuning capabilities, and Abalone rosette with a tortoise pickguard giving the Takamine TAN16C a visual elegance that matches its brilliant acoustic tone.
Pre amp
A Cool Tube onboard tube preamp with bass, treble, semi-parametric mid, a second-source input and blend control and a chromatic tuner. This configuration offers warm acoustic tone that’s fully customisable.
The CTP-1 “Cool Tube” preamp gets its name from Takamine’s unique and new technology that runs the Tube at very low voltages, therefore the tube does not glow or produce high levels of heat. The tube actually runs at only two or three degrees above ambient, so there is no concern over the delicate tone woods being affected by radiant heat. With the Takamine CTP-1 “Cool Tube” preamp, the playing will be hot, the tone will be warm, and the tube always remains cool.
